Setting up for the event

The Claire House Children’s Hospice is a fantastic hospice for terminally ill children. Situated on the Wirral in North West England this charity funded hospice is the idea of one couple who realised the need of keeping their family together while their daughter Claire suffered with cancer.

Getting ready to run…

When the fundraising team at Claire House made it known they had a requirement for marshals and water for their Splash Dash (a colourful fun run), Rapid Relief Team (RRT) were only too happy to help out. With over 1000 participants running the 3km on a warm Saturday afternoon the whole team were kept busy handing out water and making sure everyone finished the race safely in Birkenhead Park.

With old and young, able and disabled taking part as well as some of the children currently in Claire House who were pushed in wheelchairs around the course by their carers, everyone was kept busy. Once the delightful crowds had gone home RRT set to again litter picking and tidying up the park to restore the peaceful environment.

Very sad to know some children are suffering from cancer.

Makes us think again, and be thankful for our own life !!!! Even if things are sometimes hard…
